A DAY IN HEIDELBERG // MacQueen98

Ηello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
Today's topic is a post I wrote a year ago but never posted for an unknown even for myself reason. So grab your flower crown and get comfortable 'cause another post of mine is about to begin..

Hopefully you all remember the little road trip I did with my best friends last summer. A great amount of posts was up on my blog based on that topic. Our then destination was Limburg a really old and popular German city. But since long car rides can be a little hell of exhausting especially in summertime we decided to stop in an unknown for all of us city to rest and also relax ourselves a bit. And we did, we parked our car in a city that we've never ever seen or heard before..
A city named Heidelberg..

The city itself surpassed even my slightest expectations. It felt so weird and impressed at the same time to know literally nothing about a place that is a able to surprise you pleasantly.

The first thing that I've done the second I got home was a research about that gorgeous place. Instead of being the typical teenager who would just google about it, I decided to go with the old traditional way (yes I'm that kind of a person) and ask someone.

And I did, I asked my father (since he spent more than 30 years of his life in Germany) to tell me more about this unknown -until a few days before- for me place. He then told me that this city that I've never even heard about before is one of the most graphic, memorable and historical cities in Germany. He also told me that Heidelberg used to be one the most romantic cities back in the 19's and that it still has thousands of visitors every day. That was the moment I remembered our little "break" into the city. My mind couldn't stop thinking the great amount of people that was around us while my friends and I were walking in the old streets of the city as well as the endless queue we met in every restaurant or coffee and ice cream shop we laid our foot in..

Something else he told me I've already experienced myself was the great amount of the tourist attractions Heidelberg has to offer. He talked to me a lot about the old town of Heidelberg, a place we fortunately got the chance to visit. German call the old town of Heidelberg (which is also part of the city) “Altstadt“. Altstadt is a compound word based on the German words "Alt” ("old") and "Stadt" ("city").

That was the moment I realized how clueless we (humans) really are. I somewhere read that "the more you learn you realize you know nothing at all". It was a great experience not only because I had the chance to visit that place but also and most importantly because I had the chance to learn about it from a really important to me person.

A day in my life // homemade pizza

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.

Hope you all had a great, fun and non-busy week so far. Grab a blanket to get comfortable in because another post of mine is about to begin. You might also want to grab something to eat while reading this because if there's anything I can promise you about today's topic is that is definitely going to make you feel hungry..

Mum picked me up from school today since her and I were home alone because my father and my little brother were out of town for business. With school, work and everything that comes in between it was awhile since mum and I had time to do something fun (and yummy!) together. We were at home around two o'clock and we decided to make a delicious (I might add) homemade pizza.

The prepare, the cooking and generally the whole thing wouldn't be the same without Ed's amazing and beyond talented voice so I obviously had to add some. The entire thing lasted about an hour until we were able to try the pleasant (for us of course) results.

Thinking about the amount of fun I had that day while cooking, singing and laughing with my mamma makes me beyond happy.

Α day in my life // Οktoberfest 2015

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
I highly hope your week is not even half busy as mine is at the exact moment but since the prior information that I have just shared had absolutely nothing to do with my topic I am going to simply leave it there. Grab your favorite flavor of candy and get comfortable because today's topic is Oktoberfest..

For those of you who are not familiar with the German language Oktoberfest is a compound word from the (German) words Oktober and Fest. Oktober as most of you have probably already guested means October while Fest means Celebration.

I got a call from a close to me friend the last week of October who was asking me to go
with her and her little sister (7) to Oktoberfest. I immediately accepted her offer since I am not German so I never really had the chance to go on a similar event like that in the course of my life so far!

There where a great amount of people who were wearing traditional German costumes while they were singing famous in their country songs throughout the whole event.

I took my camera with me to photograph all of those beautiful and unique moments but still being a novice in this business I completely forgot to charge it (I couldn't possibly be more stupid than that, trust me, I know!). As it was sadly obvious my camera died after I captured a few shots of the event. I am really sorry for the scarce and boring amount of pictures I took..

I'll try my best to update you guys again in a few days despise my tough and busy schedule. But until then..

Don't forget to smile..,

Dealing with anxiety (disorder), low self esteem/confidence & stress // Easy tips & ways to deal with them

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
As I already said a couple times before (this is officially the last time I ever ever repeat that, you all have my word!), this blogpost series is a collaboration with a really close to me YouTube person I always wanted to collab with. Her name's Marie and she's a really sweet and kind soul that has been and still being through a lot of hate and bullying because of her weight..

I suggest you all be prepare and bring a peace of tissue with (just in case!), because my dear lovely angel I am in the unpleasant position to tell you that this is unfortunately the last ever post written by me (MacQueen98) based on those topics. With all of the these words finally out of my system I think it's time to make a really special and helpful for you all finale.

That's why I decided to write an entire post talking (well "kind of") about things you can do that I'm also doing myself to somehow reduce my anxiety and stress while I'm cheering my confidence level up at the same time.

With everything being said is time for my personally tips and ways to help all of your beautiful lives become a little easier..

I think it's a pretty good time to get to the point, isn't it..?

• Talk to a person you trust

The first and most helpful thing you can do is to talk to someone you R E A L L Y trust. It can be anyone to a really close friend or a family member you are especially close with.

• Breath(!)

Despise the fact it's simple, we all need a little magic reminder to tell us to calm of our nerves down and just breath.

• Try to think positive

I know it's hard to convince yourself and your mind that everything is going to be alright during a panic session like the one you probably dealing with at that moment. It's really important though to try to pass a positive and happy message to your brain when everything seems like falling apart.

• Compliment yourself

Something definitely helpful for me during similar situations is complimenting myself. Trust me, I know it's sounds a bit odd and weird but it's SO important to remind yourself who you really are when you need it the most!

• Smile

Last but certainly not least is to be generous enough and give yourself a little bright cheerful present. Smiling while you're nervous is definitely going to make your brain cells spread positive messages to your mind and body.

THAT'S IT..!

Oh, I almost forgot to share a really (helpful) secret with you all which you probably(!) know already but you are actually not paying any kind of attention to it, do you?

YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DIE..!

Definitely NOT!

Do yourself a little favor and S T O P overthinking about what could possibly go wrong and S T A R T think the possibility of things going your way..

Before ending this blogpost series once and forever I want to give myself more time (if it's even possible!) and thank every single one of you who have stand by my side for another series I created. It's really important to make sure you all understand the external and internal happiness you've given to me.

I really hope that you will choose me again to entertain you and keep you company at the same time, while I'm going to make you consider and think your life one more (or maybe now that I'm actually thinking of it more that one!) time.

Don't forget to smile,

Dealing with anxiety (disorder), low self esteem/confidence & stress // Stress

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
As I already said a couple times before, this blogpost series is a collaboration with a really close to me YouTube person I always wanted to collab with. Her name's Marie (link) and she's a really sweet and kind soul that has been and still being through a lot of hate and bullying because of her weight. She's going to share with you her thoughts and stories about her bullying experience while I'm going share with you another common to a lot of people thing I'm unfortunately struggling with. Grab a snack and a huge cup of tea or coffee because today's topic is stress.

I'm pretty sure most of you out there have felt stressed because of school, college, work etc. Unfortunately for us all stress is something everyone in our generation (and not only!) is dealing with. That's the reason behind my decision to do a blogpost about it as but let's start to talk more about our topic, shall we?

A psychological research prove that the amount of stress a normal student is dealing with nowadays is the same amount of stress a psychopath used to deal with a few decades earlier. It's crazy when you think of it, isn't it?

According to a mental health document I watched a couple months ago stress is quote "your body's way of responding to any kind of demand or threat".

There's pretty much no explanation on why people are nervous. It's interesting to think the truth that namely everything is in our heads. Sometimes even a really simple situation or a really random person are able to make you feel anxious.

Something also common several people are struggling with is worrying about what about other people are thinking of them. This is something I also struggling myself with and trust me when I'm saying that it's something I'm currently "working" hard on it..

The most terrifying part about stress is the waiting part. It can be anything like a presentation, a date, a project, a doctor's appointment, an exam etc. The more you are waiting something to happen the more you are terrified causing your brain cells to release stress on your body.

I used to hold myself back a lot because of it but I am not anymore..
AND YOU SHOULN'T EITHER!

I definitely take the risk and accept every opportunity that comes in my way no matter how terrified I am because in the end you are only sure for the moment you live right now.

Dealing with anxiety (disorder), low self esteem/confidence and stress // Low self esteem/confidence

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
As I already said in my latest post this blogpost series is a collaboration with a really close to me YouTube person I always wanted to collab with. Her name's Marie and she's a really sweet and kind soul that has been and still being through a lot of hate and bullying because of her weight. She's going to share with you her thoughts about bullying while I'm going to talk to you about something really important for our generation. Today's topics are low self esteem and low self confidence.

A psychological research prove that the beliefs you seem to have about yourself often appear to you as statements of facts, although they are actually only other people's opinions. Negative beliefs about yourself are brought to you by negative situations you experienced personally in your life. If for example people are talking to you negatively your self esteem is going to be effected negatively as well while your mind is going to absorb this sayings as facts instead of opinions aka what they truly are.

That's the reason behind my decision to write a post based on that topic. We live in a world that kind of made us lose the essence. We live in a world where other people's "opinions" are able to bring someone down.

They say..
NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER.

Everyone knows that saying but no one really implements it because we live in a world where socialization makes it easier for people to judge a person based on a stupid rumor they heard unread of try to really R E A L L Y know that person.

Daily experiences help ourselves to form our beliefs that happen to us in real life starting from our childhood. Experiences between you and your family as well as experiences between you and your wider social community affect the way you see yourself.

Keep in mind something I read a few months ago. Other people's "opinions" don't show who you are but who THEY truly are..

"Don't let other people's opinions affect you personally" -MacQueen98.

People are because rude because they've been treated as shi*t as well.
I'm not trying to excuse them I'm just saying how things really are..
This is our world my friend..

If you're not happy with it, instead of only thinking about it try to change this cruel place some people call world.

YOU CAN.

YOU CAN change this world.

YOU CAN achieve all of your personal goals.

And most importantly..

YOU CAN be happy..!

There's one last thing I need to ask you before you close this tab forever..

"Are you ready to fight for your happiness?" -MacQueen98.

Dealing with anxiety (disorder), low self esteem/confidence & stress // Anxiety (disorder)

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
Today's post is slightly different than my older ones. I am proud to say that I'm finally doing a collaboration with a YouTube person that I always wanted to. Her name's Marie and she's a really sweet and kind soul that has been and still being through a lot of hate and bullying because of her weight. She's going to talk to you from the button of her heart about her bullying experience while I'm going to share with you the mental disorder that I'm unfortunately suffering from and everything that comes with it.

I just wanted to confide something really important with you before you start reading. Anxiety disorder is something that I'm dealing with since I was a little child so I'm kindly asking you to try understand what it truly feels like and be gentle..

There's a side of me that you don't really get to see in here because most of the times I like to document and talk about good things that happen to my life and manage to put a smile on my face for a while. Unfortunately I have to tell you that there's a lot more in someone's life than what they put on their social networks and media either if they're just for fun or also business included.

A lot of people are confusing anxiety with anxiety disorder. I'll try my best to explain the difference between them as easy as I possibly can. If you are feeling anxious only on situations where you supposed to feel anxious and it's completely normal then you don't have to worry about it. If you on the other side feel anxious and terrified and you are overthinking even the tiniest little things that can possibly happen to your life then we're both playing on the same team. And we're both are suffering from what physiologists call "anxiety disorder".

The truth is that anxiety is really common fear that a lot of people are suffering from in any kind of way. Every time that I start to feel anxious I always deal with the same repeating pattern. I most likely feel like I'm having no air (even though I know I always breath faster during similar situations) and I start feeling really sick and hot while my head is rumbling, my hands are sweating and my heart is beating faster and faster. Suddenly the world becomes another place. The noises are getting louder as people are getting bigger while I become smaller and smaller as the time goes by.

Something really common that I myself as most people out there regret is shutting multiple opportunities down and holding theirselves back because of it. Trust me when I'm saying I know from experience that it is not a really nice feeling but as I already said in the beginning of this post anxiety disorder is a mental illness.

No matter what other people make you think or believe I want you to accept the upcoming truth.
IT'S NORMAL TO HAVE ANXIETY DISORDER.

There's a phrase of my own I want you to remember before you close this tab forever:
"Don't let any situations, people and thoughts effect you negatively and stop you from achieving your personal goals" -MacQueen98.

Don't let anxiety control your life,

Ice cream in Heidelberg

My road trip in Heidelberg was beyond beautiful. I met the most amazing people and places as long as I was back there. I tasted some great food flavors that I won't forget for a lifetime. One of the things that I can't get out of my mind is the homemade ice cream that I tried in a small vintage ice cream shop downtown.

The flavors were all so beautifully unique and one of a kind. We tried a lot (and by a lot I really mean A LOT) of ice cream flavors and they were all so delicious. We went there after my recommendation 'cause well, in case you haven't noticed I'm obsess with everything vintage related. I fortunately didn't forget to take my camera with me and captured that moment.

Now I can keep that flavor forever on my mind..

I enjoy traveling more than anything in this world. You can see so many different locations and meet people that you've never ever seen before. Traveling gives you also the opportunity to learn more about a country's tradition, culture and food (practically what I basically live for), which also makes me feel really excited.

Don't forget to smile,
xoxo MacQueen98.
