A day at the beach // Touzla

Dear Angel,

It's been a while since the last you heard of me and God only knows how much I missed writting to you. Just the thought of me writing again makes me both happy and exciting. As you probably guessed already my summer break is over meaning that I'm back in Germany, but that's far beyond the point. Today's letter is dedicate to the very first day I spent on the beach this summer.

{ Sunday, July 24th 2016 // Touzla Greece }

My day started at around 7 o'clock. We immediately prepared ourselves, packed our backpacks and headed to the car. We then stopped to a friends house to pick her up. We bought some coffee for the road, ate breakfast on the way, and talked about everything and anything while laughed at each over's jokes. Two and a half hours later we were on the beautiful Paralia Orfuniou in Touzla. Touzla is a gorgeous seaside place in northern Greece.

After tons of sunscreen we went to sea for our first bath. We endlessly swam in there for hours. When our skin looked like a currant we realized that we probably stayed under water for way to long. We sunbathed for a bit while listened to old good jazz and then headed to the sea one more time before we packed our things and went home.

I know that summer is slowly getting over but I am somehow still not over with it.

Interviewing a YouTuber: Manuella

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
A lot of people consider Internet as a bad for our society thing which is not completely wrong if you actually think about it but despise that theory I personally do consider Internet as a really unique and important way to get to know different people from all around the world via Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, YouTube, etc. A social platform it's exactly what brought myself and Manuella "together" a couple of years ago. After a short discussion we both decided to try something different than a simple chat conversation this time..

Hello Manuella. I'm really glad to have you in my blog. Can you tell us a few things about yourself?
Hello Katerina, I’m happy to be interviewed by you! So a little bit about me, I’m 21 years old, I’m from Greece, I just graduated university and now I’m going to start a job in the professional world, hopefully in the US.

Your YouTube channel is one of most popular beauty/fashion channels in the Greek YouTube community but how did it all started? What exactly inspired you to start your own channel?
I always loved creating and editing short videos so when I found YouTube and started watching all these beauty vloggers I was inspired to create a YouTube channel too.

Describe your style only by using five words.
Girly, Chic, Modern, Dressy and Playful.

What's your favorite clothing store and why?
My all-time favorite store is Forever 21 because they have clothes for many different styles like girly, edgy, boho etc, so I always find the pieces that I’m looking for.

Some people think that guys are not supposed to wear pink clothes. What's your opinion on that?
Guys wearing pink is more than acceptable and it can look really stylish and class, provided that they can pull it off. People shouldn’t mistakenly associate guys wearing the color pink with being gay or unmanly and a color that only girls should be allowed to wear.

What's the best thing that happened to you today?
My degree results just came out and I am now officially a graduate with BA Honours degree in International Business and Economics! I am so happy about it, four years of hard work finally payed off!
I'm really happy for you, congratulations!

Who's your fashion icon?
I don’t particularly have a fashion icon but I do like to get inspiration from Ariana Grande since we have similar styles. I also love to dress in crop tops, knee high socks, pearls and pastels!

Name 5 things you cannot live without.
The internet, my phone, the beach, music and makeup.

What's your favorite country you visited so far and why?
By far the US! I went to South Carolina last year as an exchange student and I absolutely fell in love with the place and the people. But to be honest, Greece is the most stunning place I’ve been. Who can resist the mesmerizing beauty of our Greek islands, like Santorini, with the perfect white buildings, the glorious sky and the breathtaking blue sea.

A lot of people can be roughly judgmental while using a social platform such as YouTube. Have you ever been insulted by a viewer? How did you deal with that?
I have been insulted many times. But I know that they go on my videos just to be rude and hurtful so that they can make me feel bad. I instantly block those haters since I don’t want to have negativity in my videos nor inappropriate and rude comments that younger people could read. Throughout these years I’ve been on YouTube I’ve learnt that these people have frustrations and anxieties and they don’t understand that their hate comments may have significant consequences on the other person.

What's your dream destination? Where do you desire to travel the most?
I have a passion for travelling! It’s my dream to travel all around the world so that is a hard question. My top destinations are Australia, the Caribbean and Hawaii. As you can tell the sea is my everything and I love everything exotic.

What are your plans for the future? To get a job in the US! It has always been my dream to start a career in the States and live there for the rest of my life.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In ten years I will be 31 so I imagine myself living in an apartment close to the beach, in the Los Angeles area, having a marketing job in a social media or fashion company and maybe having my own family.

Tell us something most people don't know about you.
I’ve had eating disorders for the past five years. I recovered and then relapsed again, so currently I am still battling to recover for the second time. I keep it a secret, only my family knows since it is obvious and my two best friends. I’m planning to make a video taking about it soon though so that I can share my story and spread awareness.
I'm sorry to hear to that. I'm always here for you in case you ever need to talk about it.

You can find Manuella in the following social platforms:
Facebook
Instagram
Snapchat: manuellaemm

Thank you so much Manuella for answering all of my questions. Hope you recover soon. Wishing you the best!

GHOST

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
As you a lot of you might have already noticed I love trying/experiencing new things not only blogging but also life related. Today I decide to share with all of you a different but yet exciting for myself -and my blog- topic. So grab your flower crown and get comfortable because another post of mine is about to begin..

Although I don't consider myself as those kind of people that like to share every issue and problem that happens to their life with the entire world to see this is something I'd really like to get out of my mind once and for good so I can finally move on with my life. Last year was variant the worst year in my life so far. A lot of stuff were going on that I'd like to keep for myself that mentally broke me down. I wrote a poem during those days of my life that I really wanted to post for a while but was a bit scared to do so. I don't have an incredibly long text to go along with it as I usually do so please bare with me. I am not a poetrician (yep, I just totally made that word up!) nor ever have I tried to write a poem before but I still highly hope you all enjoy my slightly different piece of art.

I'm a ghost,
trapped between those walls.
I'm the ghost,
who spies you from the window.
I'm a ghost,
attracted by the dark.
I'm the ghost,
who can't go out.
I'm a ghost,
without freedom.
I'm the ghost,
you hear crying after midnight.
I'm a ghost,
that feels alone.
But after all I'm the ghost,
who IS alone.

POSTSCRIPT: I'd like to clarify that this is not even close to how I feel about myself or my life right now. As I said that was something that happened to me last year so please don't get all crazy about it.

Dear Diary..

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
Today's topic is yet another personal one. So grab your flower crown and get comfortable because another post of mine is about to begin..

I was casually watching a movie until something really got my attention. The main character was daily writing everything that happened to her life in a diary. I used to also have a diary back when I was a child but as the years walked by I somehow stopped without actually knowing why. Watching her write made myself covet all of those past years that I was also writing everything down.

A few days ago I got myself a diary and I'm so glad I did. It's so exiting writing a diary all over again. It felt weird but yet so good at the same time. When I started writing it totally felt like I've never even stopped. Having a diary is a great way to keep all of those thoughts you can't keep otherwise. I mean, imagine yourself finding your current diary in ten years from now..

A lot of things are daily changing in your life including yourself. You are changing every single day that goes by even when you don't think you are. Besides it's such a great way to keep everything safe. You can keep all of your thoughts, your problems, your fears, your dreams, your goals and your secrets hidden without worrying that the person you shared them to is going to spread them everywhere.

"A diary is a magic place where you can safely keep all of your thoughts in" -MacQueen98.

Let me know if YOU keep a diary in the comment section below!

Are you completely sure your space is permanent or should you really start worrying about it?

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
This is another typical post of mine where I make you question everything and everyone about your life. It might be a bit typical for myself post but this topic will definitely be a HUGE ''thing'' for you and that dear angel is a promise. So grab your flower crown and get comfortable because another post of mine is about to begin..

I was casually going through my Instagram feed after a really stressful and busy day until something caught my attention. It was a quote (and you all know about my ''tiny'' obsession with them) that was saying (to) "question your space". I tried really hard to convince myself it was nothing but my mind was telling me completely otherwise.

If there's anything I learned so far is that N O T H I N G is permanent when it comes to life. Take that from me, no matter how sure you are about something or someone in your life, you should NEVER get used to a certain situation or a person. Life is changing like people do every day. You are also changing even when you don't think you are..

"How many days did you see your life and realized nothing is changing but when you look back again after a few months, weeks or even days you realize that everything is different?"-MacQueen98.

Are sure that everything and everyone you see around you is real..?

Are you really feeling comfortable with your life or are you just used in a current situation..?

Those and a lot more questions were wandering in my head after I saw and read that picture..

There are so many thoughts about pretty much everything around me in my head right now..

So many questions that craving to be answered..

So many thoughts that finally found their way out..

"The worst thing in life is when you're daily surround by so many people around you but you still feel like no one is by your side.." -MacQueen98.

I know that this post was kind of all over the place but my mind turned one hundred eighty degrees after I accidentally saw and read that Instagram picture.

"Sometimes your mind itself completely refuses to stop thinking about something you probably want to forget even though you tried to convice yourself it was nothing'' -MacQueen98.

I desperately hope that these post of mine was able to shake you a little bit and make you question and think about your life a lot more than you (already) have.

Until next time..

A DAY IN HEIDELBERG // MacQueen98

Ηello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.
Today's topic is a post I wrote a year ago but never posted for an unknown even for myself reason. So grab your flower crown and get comfortable 'cause another post of mine is about to begin..

Hopefully you all remember the little road trip I did with my best friends last summer. A great amount of posts was up on my blog based on that topic. Our then destination was Limburg a really old and popular German city. But since long car rides can be a little hell of exhausting especially in summertime we decided to stop in an unknown for all of us city to rest and also relax ourselves a bit. And we did, we parked our car in a city that we've never ever seen or heard before..
A city named Heidelberg..

The city itself surpassed even my slightest expectations. It felt so weird and impressed at the same time to know literally nothing about a place that is a able to surprise you pleasantly.

The first thing that I've done the second I got home was a research about that gorgeous place. Instead of being the typical teenager who would just google about it, I decided to go with the old traditional way (yes I'm that kind of a person) and ask someone.

And I did, I asked my father (since he spent more than 30 years of his life in Germany) to tell me more about this unknown -until a few days before- for me place. He then told me that this city that I've never even heard about before is one of the most graphic, memorable and historical cities in Germany. He also told me that Heidelberg used to be one the most romantic cities back in the 19's and that it still has thousands of visitors every day. That was the moment I remembered our little "break" into the city. My mind couldn't stop thinking the great amount of people that was around us while my friends and I were walking in the old streets of the city as well as the endless queue we met in every restaurant or coffee and ice cream shop we laid our foot in..

Something else he told me I've already experienced myself was the great amount of the tourist attractions Heidelberg has to offer. He talked to me a lot about the old town of Heidelberg, a place we fortunately got the chance to visit. German call the old town of Heidelberg (which is also part of the city) “Altstadt“. Altstadt is a compound word based on the German words "Alt” ("old") and "Stadt" ("city").

That was the moment I realized how clueless we (humans) really are. I somewhere read that "the more you learn you realize you know nothing at all". It was a great experience not only because I had the chance to visit that place but also and most importantly because I had the chance to learn about it from a really important to me person.

A day in my life // homemade pizza

Hello gorgeous angel of the planet earth.

Hope you all had a great, fun and non-busy week so far. Grab a blanket to get comfortable in because another post of mine is about to begin. You might also want to grab something to eat while reading this because if there's anything I can promise you about today's topic is that is definitely going to make you feel hungry..

Mum picked me up from school today since her and I were home alone because my father and my little brother were out of town for business. With school, work and everything that comes in between it was awhile since mum and I had time to do something fun (and yummy!) together. We were at home around two o'clock and we decided to make a delicious (I might add) homemade pizza.

The prepare, the cooking and generally the whole thing wouldn't be the same without Ed's amazing and beyond talented voice so I obviously had to add some. The entire thing lasted about an hour until we were able to try the pleasant (for us of course) results.

Thinking about the amount of fun I had that day while cooking, singing and laughing with my mamma makes me beyond happy.
