If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Some of us would say nothing, others would probably say everything. I asked people of different ages, genders, religions and cultures this very simple but yet interesting following question; If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? Here are their answers:

"Probably stop overthinking everything." -D, 19 years old

"My nose." -EK, 17 years old

"If I could change one thing about myself it would probably be saying "no" more frequently. I would love to think about myself first and then about the others. I would also like to workout daily but I don't really see that happening any time soon. " -E, 31 years old

"If I could change one thing about myself, it would be to be more confident in myself." -M, 22 years old

"This is a tricky question, because you are who you are for a reason, and the way you are is unique and special. But if I were to choose, it will be the way I act around others. I feel if I'd let myself be who I really am, I'd like to be more like the person I am when I'm with my friends, with other people (such as my coworkers and classmates) too. That would make my life so much easier and fun. Also more opportunities would have been open for my future. As for physical appearance, I'd LOVE to have green eyes." -E, 19 years old

"I'd love to be a bit more productive." -A, 20 years old

"I don't think that I would change anything about myself now. It wasn't easy to reach that point though. I think that every teenager wants to change something about themselves. Either because we don't like something or because we think that other people don't like us. This could be something on our physical appearance or even personality wise. The truth is that when I was younger I wanted to change a lot of things about myself because I thought that I wasn't "good enough" to be accepted by others. When you grow up your whole mindset changes because you realize what's truly important in life and which people deserve to be around you. Under all this pressure of wanted to change myself I understood that the most important thing in someone's life is their health. So I learned to love myself for what it is and that's enough for me." - EV, 17 years old

"My anxiety! I'd love to stop worrying about everything". -D, 17 years old

"Well to be honest, I want to accept myself for both the positive and the negative traits that I have. Yes, I’m always trying to be better than the person I was yesterday, but I‘m also someone who can’t change easily. No one is perfect. Everyone has flaws and something they wish they could change about themselves, but sometimes the things we think as flaws are actually the things that build up our character and help us develop to the best version of ourselves. But of course there are a lot of things I want to change about myself… For example, I am a bit lazy (lol) and impatient. I really hope I can turn my flaws into merits one day." -M, 20 years old

"I would like to be a bit tougher with other people." -S, 59 years old

"If I could change one thing about myself it would be the way I act around others. I would like to not be so tolerant with some people." -M, 49 years old

As for myself; If I could change anything about myself it would be my perspective, the way I see things. I somewhere read that a positive attitude changes everything. This is something that I'm currently working on and I've realized that even the slightest change towards positivity can have a huge impact in your life. There a lot of things that we don't like about ourselves based on a stupid ideal body or even a life image that the media have successfully created. There's no such a thing as beauty or life standards. Just like everyone's different so is their body, mind and attitude. Instead of looking at the things you hate about yourself as your flaws and picturing something negative about them, learn to embrace and love them because they're the things that diverse you from the others and make you unique, different and beautiful in your own way.

That was it for today's post, but before I go I wanted to say a huge thank you to all These Kind people that answered my question, I really appreciated. What about you? If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Don't forget to smile,
xoxo MacQueen98.

a new chapter;

Dear angel,
The last time I typed those two words was in the first of January. The past few months I went through a couple of difficult moments that caused me lack of inspiration by also helped me grow and change my perspective on a lot of things. I am a strong believer of the quote "everything happens for a reason" so I do think that everything happened because I needed to realize a few things. Lately I've been focusing only on the positive things in life while shutting all the negative ones out. I've realized that I needed to be more grateful for all of the nice people / things that I'm luckily surrounded with. Once I did that I found inner peace and happiness. There are of course a lot of things that I need to work on but I do believe that I'm in a good place with my thoughts, mind and body right now. Positivity will definitely be something that I'll blog a lot about the next few months to help myself and the people around me but also to document this process so one day I can look back into it and be proud of myself for never giving up or quitting.

Something that I've realized from the very beginning was that ever since I changed my perspective I've been so much stronger, happier and also encouraging and loving to myself. There is so much power coming from the inside that is now spread on the outside of me. I've always wanted to focus on myself for a little while, find inner peace and work on those little things that have been bothering me. I believe that now is right time to do so.

Before I go I want you to remember that every step counts even the tiniest one so focus on yourself for a little while, absorb all the beautiful things around you, smile more often, spend more time outside but also do something you love; whether that's reading a good book, getting that extra hour of sleep in the morning or dancing in the middle of the night with a huge glass of wine. Do something that you always wanted to do, but never had the time to.

From now on I'll try to post more frequently, spread positivity and update you guys on my journey. Thank you for being patient with me, I really appreciate it.

Don't forget to smile,
xoxo MacQueen98.

What I got for Christmas // 2017

Dear angel,
First of all I know that Christmastime is over and that it's probably a bit late to publish this now but I've always wanted to do a post like this so please be kind. I was always a big fun of Christmas and the holidays. Christmas is this specific time of the year where you give back to all those people you love and truly matter to you and this year was no exception! I love seeing the looks on other people's faces while they open something that they received from me. It makes me feel very happy and worthy. Being totally inspired by this magical spirit of the season I wanted to share with you what I got for Christmas. Not to gloat or brag but to give back to all those people in my life aand say 'thank you' for always being there and keeping up with me and my lame self.

I always dreamt of having my own Polaroid camera. It was fascinating to me that you can capture all of those moments and create memories to keep them to yourself and only. My parents were kind and lovely enough to surprise me with one on Christmas morning (as you can also see in the picture below I got the instax mini 9 by fujifilm in the color grey!) and I'm very much thankful for it.

My best friends and I had a sleepover at my place a few days before the 25th in order to celebrate Christmas together, spend some quality time and exchange gifts. (By quality time I mean eating junk food and watching Christmas movies all night long.) Here's what I got from them:

A dear friend got me the new poetry book of Rupi Kaur, Milk and Honey. As a huge book lover I always get a little too exciting every time I receive a nice book. I wanted this book ever since it came out so I naturally screamed from happiness when I received it. She also gave me a tiny, white, vintage looking photo frame that I adored since I love everything vintage related. I also received the winter wonderland mini Yankee Candle that smells amazing. It's the perfect mixture of winter and Christmas, you should really check it out. I also got a pink and silvery candle holder that sparkles every time you light up the candle you put in. Lastly she gave me a gorgeous Christmas card filled with kind and wise words, a red and white reindeer lollipop, a candy cane as well as many chocolate treats most of which I've already eaten. (guilty!)

Another dear friend got me the most well known mystery novel by Agatha Christie (aka my all time favorite author), Murder on the Orient Express (I literally finished this book in three days after receiving it!) but the most special part of it was the bookmark that she made for me. It was so beautifully made that I first thought that it was bought. It's mystery related and I couldn't be happier about it. She also made a hot chocolate kit for me including a beautiful Christmas mug, candy canes and a handmade reindeer jar filled with hot chocolate, marshmallows and many other delicacies to put on top. I love everything handmade and personalized so thank you for that! Lastly she gave me a 3D Christmas card with a lovely message in it.

My grandparents surprised me with a lovely beautiful package that included a bourbon vanilla flavored black handmade tea that not
only smelled but also tasted extremely good as well. Besides that I received a soothing shower gel with rose extract and aloe vera and hand/nail cream with shea butter and rose extract both from the new bath and moisturizing collection of ROGER&GALLET, named rose. (In case you were wondering ROGER&GALLET is a Parisian beauty brand that sells its products across Europe!). The package also included a vanilla candle in the shape of a star that made the whole package smell like vanilla. (Fun fact: Vanilla and coconut are my two favorite scents so I naturally fell in love with the smell of the package!) A 100% natural body lotion from Country Garden, a tiny book filled with quotes about life, love and happiness (in the German language) that I adored since I kinda have a thing for quotes. A silver Christmas ornament, another candle that didn't smell much of anything and some chocolate delicacies most of which I have yet again already eaten.

I'm so thankful for everything I got, so thank you guys for making this the best day possible! Let me know what you got for Christmas in the comment section below.

Merry everything and a happy always,

xoxo MacQueen98.

Let It Snow: Three Holiday Romances

    Dear angel,

    I might be currently reading four books at the moment but me being me picked yet another book to read. This time I decided to go for Let It Snow: Three Holiday Romances by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle. I know that I am currently reading a lot of books but this is the first holiday themed book I picked up in my life (fairytales don't count!) and I'm really exciting about it. I've been wanting to read this book for quite a while. I purchased it in September and have patiently waited ever since for December to arrive. I'm planing to finish this by the end of December but we'll see how this goes (finger's crossed!).

    Here are a few words about the book's story line (in case you've never heart about it before!):

    It's Christmas Eve and Gracetown has been buried by snow. But the weather is more than just an inconvenience. When one girl unexpectedly steps off a stranded train, she sets off a series of life-changing events.

    Soon fourteen pumped-up cheerleaders will descend on the local Waffle House, the Duke's DVD night will be rudely interrupted for a Twister mission, and a lovesick barista will determine the fate of a single teacup pig..

    As the three stories collide, strangers cross paths and romance blossoms with heart-warming consequences.

    I have a lot of high expectations about this book, and I highly hope that I would not end up regret purchasing it.

    Don't forget to smile,
    xoxo MacQueen98.

3 books that I'm currently reading;

    Dear angel,

    Reading has always been a favorite habitat of mine and sometimes it's hard to only stick to one book at a time. Since a lot of you enjoy reading as much as I do I thought that it would be fun to share with you the three books that I'm currently reading.

    Book number one: The Eight - Katherine Neville
    Computer expert Cat Velis is heading for a job to Algeria. Before she goes, a mysterious fortune teller warns her of danger, and an antique dealer asks her to search for pieces to a valuable chess set that has been missing for years. In the South of France in 1790 two convent girls hide valuable pieces of a chess set all over the world, because the game that can be played with them is too powerful..

    Book number two: Paper Towns by John Green
    Here are a few words about the book's story line: Quentin Jacobsen had always loved Margo from afar. So when she climbs through his window to summon him on an all-night road trip of revenge he cannot help but follow. But the next morning, Q turns up at school and Margo doesn't. She left clues to her disappearance, like a trail of breadcrumbs for Q to follow.
    And everything leads to one unavoidable question: Who is the real Margo?

    Book number three: The Doll's House by M. J. Arlidge
    A young woman wakes up in a cold, dark cellar, with no idea how she got there or who her kidnapper is. So begins her terrible nightmare. Nearby, the body of another young woman is discovered buried on a remote beach. But the dead girl was never reported missing - her estranged family having received regular texts from her over the years. Someone has been keeping her alive from beyond the grave. For Detective Inspector Helen Grace it's chilling evidence that she's searching for a monster who is not just twisted but also clever and resourceful - a predator who's killed before. And as Helen struggles to understand the killer's motivation, she begins to realize that she's in a desperate race against time.

    I hope today's post was bit helpful to all of you that love reading but are lacking some new books to read.

my own space;

a letter dedicated to a special to me stranger;
    i never understood the importance of having your own place. a place to be by yourself and only, somewhere far away from people's bullshit, a place full of privacy.

    people say that "you learn as you grow" and it's true. there are many things you assure yourself that you know, but you don't...

    i thought i understood the importance of having your own space. but i didn't really value it, until now..

    after spending about three months fully being surrounded by others 24/7 i realized that having a place to call your own was a gift that i didn't appreciate as i should.

    it's incredibly relaxing, calming and therapeutic to be able to close the door and know that no one is just gonna jump in and ruin your mood while they take away your privacy just because they want to do so.

    the importance of having your own space is so underrated but at least i think i get it now..

    so thank you for teaching me
    this important lesson, stranger.

    i'll forever be grateful to you,

    Kat.

Two quotes about love;

Dear angel,

I hope you're doing well. A few love words that the one and only Bob Marley created couldn't get out of my head. So, I wrote them down. Yeah, I wrote every single word that he said down. To make you feel what I felt, to make you think what I thought..

''You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She's not perfect—you aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break—her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there.''

..

''He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.''

I don't know for a fact if these two quotes were created together (they could've been since they have a lot of similarities in them!) but they sure are two of my favorite quotes about love ever said and written. That's the main reason why I wanted to share them with you today.

Don't forget to

smile,

YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!

Dear angel,

There's nothing more meaningful to me than the tiniest and simplest things in life. Yesterday while I was wandering around the city with a bunch of friends an unknown person walked up to me just to tell me that I'm beautiful. As a girl and a teenager of this generation I am a bit insecure about the way I look like so I was pretty shocked when I received a copliment from a completely stranger. We always tend to make all of these negative scenarios in our heads about the way other people see us and never really think about all the good things that might cross their mind. It really cheered my mood up and put a smile on face. Imagine how better this world will be if we all spoke nicely and compliment each other every once in a while.

Thank you stranger for brightening up my day, I really appreciated it.

xoxo MacQueen98.

ps: I encourage all of you to go out today and compliment a stranger! You‘ll be impressed with how muck both of you are going to feel after it.

18 things I've learned at my 18 years of life;

Dear angel,
I'm will turn 19 in a few weeks from now on so I thought that a post like this would be more than appropriate. These kind of posts might be all over the Internet at the moment but I do believe that they're super interesting and inspirational. Which is probably the reason why I decided to post one of my own as well.

1; High school is just a phase and NOT your entire life.

2; Always do what you want to do. Don't let other people control your life.

3; You need to accept that no matter what you do you'll be judged.

4; You can achieve everything you want to if you're willing to work hard on it.

5; Have patience and faith. Things are eventually going to get better.

6; Always think before you talk.

7; Kindness is key. There's a quote that I adore saying always be a little kinder than necessary.

8; TALK! Don't be afraid to express yourself and speak your mind.

9; Stop chasing for perfection, it doesn't exist.

10; Cut the negative and toxic people out of you life. You'll be impressed with how better and happier you're going to feel afterwards.

11; You don't need to plan or schedule something in order to have fun. As another quote that I go by is saying the best things in life are unexpected.

12; Stop overthinking everything, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

13; Great friends equal a great life. When I was younger my mom used to say that although you can not choose the people you're related to, you C A N choose the people you hang out with. This year I had the honor to meet some amazing people (that I can now call friends) that have completely changed my mood and boost up my confidence. (You know who you are, so thank you for that!)

14; Don't be afraid to say NO! It's YOUR right to choose how you want to live your life and not anyone else's.

15; It's okay to be wrong sometimes. We all make mistakes; some of us smaller, others bigger but that is not the point of life. We are humans and as humans we don't always do things right. But that's okay because our mistakes teach us how to do things properly next time. So don't stress about that!

16; Music makes everything (and by everything I mean E V E R Y T H I N G !) better.

17; Take the blame! It's always easier to blame someone else for something YOU did and not yourself. In order to make things right and find peace within yourself you have to be brave enough to admit that you were wrong.

18; Everything happens for a reason. As cheesy as it might sound I fully live by this quote.

I hope you enjoyed today's post.

PS: It looks like a 140 more people have joined our little community since the last time I posted.
Thank you guys, I do appreciate each and every single one of you.

Don't forget to smile,

xoxo MacQueen98.

a farewell letter to Josi;

Dear Josi,

I can not believe that our first two years of college are over. Now that I'm growing older I'm starting to realize that time does fly fast. To be honest with you I have mixed feelings about this graduation. I'm both glad and sad. Glad; because I got to meet you and sad; because we are most likely not going to see each other again. I'd like to share with you a few things before that happens. You're one of the few people that listened to me whenever I had something to say (I loved our long conversations before, after and sometimes even during class!), you payed attention when no one else really did and that really matters to me. You ALWAYS told me to stay strong, believe in myself and not let other people get inside my skin (I really appreciated that!). I'll never forget the day you offered to take my place in an oral examination in class and shaved me from a very bad grade. You're one of the most well-spoken, nicest, kind and generous people I met in my life. It's sad to think that although we were at the same class for two years we only bonded to each other the second year of college. But that's life and no matter how bizarre and odd that might sound I do believe that everything happens for a reason.

I guess that sums up everything I had to say. It was nice meeting you, Josi. Thank you for making my time in college special. I wish life brings you everything you ever wanted. Please think of me once in a while 'cause I assure you that I will.

Love,
Kat.

 ps: Du bist Wunderschön!

rude;

Dear angel,

In today's letter I wanted to share with you something I wrote a few weeks ago. Everyone has those few certain people in their lifes that are up to no good. Altough it's not always easy to do so, soon or later you have to cut them out of your life in order to bring back the positivity and make yourself happy again.

- - You don't deserve me. All you do is complaining about your life while blaming me for every bad thing that happens to you. You always put me down and make my life miserable. I can't take it anymore. I'm not a punching bag. I have soft skin and I take everything personally. You are the reason that my anxiety increases constantly. I try to hold on, remain calm, talk less and agree in everything you say so I can avoid the drama. But enough is enough. Now I can finally admit to myself the truth that I was hiding ever since I met you and I can finally look you in the eye and say "I'm done, I'm so done with you." - -

Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl; book review

Dear angel,

If you've been following my blog for a while my obsession for books is anything but strange to you. It was about a few days ago that I realized that I haven't posted a single book review since the day I started blogging which is definitely something that's going to change in a few moments from now on. Grab your favorite cold drink and make yourself comfortable because another post of mine is about to begin..

{ Book Review }

As the title already says this book is diary written by a 13 year old Jewish girl named Anne Frank that was hiding with her family for two years at an old's office building loft from the German conquerors during the Second World War before her mother, her sister and Anne herself were killed by the nazi occupation of the Netherlands on September 3rd 1944 in Auschwitz (the notorious extermination center). The entire book is filled with "letters" dedicated to Anne's imaginary friend, Kitty.

I've been craving to read this book for a while, in fact it has been in my reading list for a couple of years. My childhood best friend gave this to me on my 18th birthday without even knowing anything about my bucket list.

personal opinion;

I adored all those feelings the book gave me. It was so interesting reading about a person's life before it ended so cruelty. Anne's diary gave me a better perspective about everything that's being going on in the continent where I live (aka Europe!). Anne's diary is fairly considered one of the world's classics since it was translated in more than 60 languages. In case my opinion means anything to you this book definitely deserves its own place at your library.

last summer;

Dear angel,

Today I went though the photographs I took last summer while on vacation in Greece. Immediately the memories of it kept my mind captive for quite a while. Last summer was by far the best summer I've ever had. Endless hours spend under the sun, hanging out with old but beloved childhood friends, chilling at the beach, reading a huge amount of literature and poetry, swimming at the sea, staying and waking up late were only a few of the things I've done while on vacation. The freedom and joy I felt while I was back in my home country was something so unique and worth sharing with you all. Aside to that, I found myself writing poetry daily. I guess the sudden climate change must have nourished my writing inspiration for good. I now count down the days until I go back in Greece to create new ones, discover more parts of myself, relax, and have fun.

tvd; the finale

After 8 seasons of me spending endless hours in front of my laptop screen obsessing over imaginary creations that unfortunately don't exist in real life, tvd came to its end.

I didn't think that this day would come as soon as it did. I casually clicked the 16th episode thinking that it would be just another episode of the last season. When it was in fact the very last episode of the very last season.

Although I'm sad that it ended I have to say that it couldn't have a better ending. This was the second time I experienced the end of one of my favorite tv shows (the first one was Gossip Girl!) and I have to admit that I loved it. It was literally bonding perfectly with all the previous seasons. I loved vampire diaries so much. I am not a fan of sci-fi fiction in fact I hate it but tvd had a special place in my heart from the beginning (and it still has).

But how did it all started?

I remember my 12 year old self randomly finding a video of Damon and Elena on YouTube. After seeing that clip I knew that I had to watch this show. And I did, I even convinced my brother to watch it with me..

At first I was in love with Damon's character but while growing older I started appreciating how perfectly kind and generous Stefan's character really was. The same thing happened with the ultimate otp of the show; Delena. Damon has earned a special place in every girl's heart since he never stopped fighting for the girl he loved, Elena. Speaking of which; tvd introduced to me my favorite musician out there, Ed Sheeran. The song Kiss Me started playing in the background of a Delena dancing scene in front of the fireplace in the Salvatore brother's enormous house and I knew that I had to check this new to me artist out. Since I did the rest is pretty much history.. But then as I was growing older I realized how incredible perfect that friendship that later turned into love of Stefan and Caroline truly was, and I totally fell for it.

As for the naughty ones; Catherine Pierce aka Katerina Petrova is one of the biggest female badass characters ever existed. She was always my favorite female character of the show. (Ninas acting skills were beyond on point to make both Elena and Katherine act like a completely different person while looking alike.)

In that very last episode all of of my favorite characters were brought back from the dead. Besides that, Damon was finally the person his brother always wanted him to be. Stefan was not only the sweet, kind and caring one as he always were but he was also the hero. Bonnie was strong again. Elena was back. Caroline and Alaric created something so special for all of those young and gifted kids of that imaginary world. As for Car; I'm pretty sure that a brand new story is about to begin for her, a stubborn one. It's safe to say that I was crying in my pillow from the very start of the episode all the way to its end. The pairs of the show; Damon and Elena were together at last. Bonnie will always care Enzo with her in way only Bonnie Bennett could. As for my favorites; Stefan and Caroline had what us writers call a tragically romantic ending; like the ones only endlessly and madly people in love have.

That was pretty much it; the end of this post (or farewell letter if you prefer to call it so) to tvd. Spoiler Alert; I'm pretty sure I'll restart binge watching it from the begging very soon. Since I already paid my respect I guess it's my time to say goodbye.

Goodbye tvd; you'll definitely be missed,
Yours sincerely Kat.

The Get To Know Me Tag ft. Elisa //

Dear angel,
For today's letter I teamed up with a great friend of mine who conveniently happens to be a blogger too. We decided to do the get to know me tag together. I've seen this tag in quite a few platforms and I thought it would be a nice idea to do this so you guys can know a little bit more about my dear friend Elisa.

1. Are you named after anyone?
Yes, I am named afte my grandmother.

2. When was the last time you cried?
In an episode of Arrow.

3. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
I don't really know how people see me, but there are days when I wouldn't even look at myself. But everyone deserves a chance, so maybe I'd try to get to know me.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Like a favorite character once said, sarcasm is my only defense.

5. WIll you ever bungee-jump?
YES, YES, YES!

6. What is the first thing you notice about people?
The way they talk.

7. What is your eye colour?
Brown.

8. Scary movie or happy endings?
Depends on my mood.

9. Favorite smell?
Fresh washed clothes and vanilla (and sometimes flowers).

10. Summer or winter?
Winter, just so I have a good reason to stay home.

11. Computer or television?
Series and movies on my baby laptop.

12. Do you have any special talents?
I can make roses from tissues.

13. Where were you born?
In Thesaloniki, the most beautiful city.

14. What are your hobbies?
Binge watching shows for life.

15. Do you have any pets?
Nope.

16. Favorite movie?
I don't have one but right now I would rewatch The Nerve or The Suicide Squad.

17. Do you have any siblings?
Yes, a 12 year old baby brother.

18. What did you want to be when you grow up?
I used to think that this question meant to go to a good university and have a family, but to do all of that you first need to find out who you truly are. Like the flowers need the sun and water to grow, so do we, we just all have a different sun and a different definition of water.

quote of the day; March 27th 2017

A little reminder to brighten up and make your day:

''Be present. Make love. Make tea. Avoid small talk. Embrace conversation. Buy a plant, water it. Make your bed. Make someone else's bed. Have a smart mouth, and quick wit. Run. Make art. Create. Swim in the ocean. Swim in the rain. Take chances. Ask questions. Make mistakes. Learn. Know your worth. Love fiercely. Forgive quickly. Let go of what doesn't make you happy. Grow.'' - Paulo Coelho

uninspired;

I've been uninspired lately.

Maybe it's because my stress levels are going higher everyday.

All I do is stare at the empty pages of my notebook and feel sad because I can't write. And not writing turns me into a strange soulless person that I can't barely recognize..

the real problem of our generation;

Dear angel,

Have you ever overthought the idea of perfection? Have you ever strive for it? Have you ever complained or accused your very own self for not being "perfect" or good enough?

If you answered yes to at least one of those questions we unfortunately are in the same page. I won't pretend for a single second that I don't struggle for "perfection" myself as a teenager of this current generation. If you actually take the time to think about it you'll realize how pathetic is to struggle and strive for something that doesn't even exist.

We live in a world where social media are fully in control of our own lives. They tell us the way we should be dressed, look and think. They can also take fully advantage and control of all of the things we say or like. It's sad if you think that the media define exactly what perfection nowadays should look like. They turn us into something soulless and stupid.

Have you ever seen the way our generation treats all of those brave souls that are not afraid to be themselves and are different from anyone else? Be honest for a second and think if you have ever secretly admired anyone that's different from the crowd. Our generation tends to hate and bully all those people that don't fit "their" standards. And the funny thing to all of this is that they are not even their standards to begin with.

See the truth is that we all know but no one really wants to admit nor say out loud is that social media are the principal and determinant reason for every bad thing that's currently happening in the world.

Don't let them control and ruin your life,
xoxo MacQueen98.
